It protects us from: Pollution, Ultraviolet rays, Irritation, inflammation, and infection, Dehydration, Toxins. It regulates water loss from the inside out, retains moisture, and keeps our skin hydrated.
Causes for Skin Barrier Damage
Many things can impact the quality of your skin barrier.
